VLSim is Viswire's Virtual Laparoscopic Simulator. It is a Low-Cost surgical simulator with Haptic Interface designed using COTS hardware and open-source software tools.

VLSim provides the trainee with a safe, virtual representation of patient anatomy – including unusual anatomical anomalies – and instrument dynamics, wherein surgical skills can be acquired or honed.

VLSim is currently being developed in partnership with the Christian Medical College, Vellore, India (CMC) and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India (IITM).
